Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate Guelph Ontario

The Guild had an outing on Saturday, March 19, 2016 to the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate.  The Basilica was recently renovated from top to bottom.  Saturday was a sunny day.  This provided Guild members an opportunity to photograph the beautiful colourful windows.

Guild Visit to Mountsberg Raptor Centre

On Sunday, February 21, 2016, the Guild payed a visit to Mountsberg Raptor Centre for a photoshoot. The models were beautiful and took direction well. We had a great turnout of Guild members for this outing.

Guild Trip to Butterfly Conservatory in Cambridge

Our Guild had our January outing to the Butterfly Conservatory in Cambridge.  We had a good turnout of Guild members.  It was warm and humid inside in comparison to the cold of a wintery day.

January 20th,2016 (Wednesday) 7:00 PM-9:00 PM Unifor Building- Wildlife Photography - Bill Wynneck

January 24th, 2016 (Sunday) 9:00AM - Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory (if we get 20 people we will qualify for group discount) friends and family welcome. Usage of tripods permitted between 9:00 AM and 10:00AM. 

February 17th, 2016 (Wednesday) 7:00PM-9:00 PM Unifor Building - Black and White Photography - Sylvia Galbraith

February 21,2016 (Sunday) 9:00AM - Mountsberg Conservatory - Raptor Centre - private photo session of birds - maximum of 15 people minimum of 10 - $20.00 per person. I will be collecting money at our January meeting. Please sign up. 

March 16th,2016 (Wednesday) 7:00 PM-9:00PM Unifor Building - Portrait Photography - Trina Koster

Guild Exhibit at Atmosphere Café - nominate your picture by January 22nd. Exhibit opens on March 1st.

Guild Christmas Social and Photography Competition

On Wednesday, December 16 our Guild had it annual Christmas Social at the Penny Whistle Pub in Guelph.  We had a good turn out of members.

One of the highlights of the evening was the Photo Contest of member's work.

We had five categories in which photos were grouped.

We had 1) Street Photography
             2) Abstract Photography
             3) Nature/Landscape Photography
             4) Black and White Photography
             5) Portrait Photography

I would like to thank all the Guild members who submitted images to this years competition.

Guild Visit to Cox Creek Cellars December 5, 2015

Members from the Guelph Photographers Guild had an outing to Cox Creek Cellars on Saturday, December 5, 2015.  There was a tour of the wine making facilities as well as a wine tasting.  It was quite enjoyable to sample a variety of their wines.

Framing Workshop

The Guelph Photographers Guild had a workshop at Studio 404 on Saturday, November 21, 2015. Ross Davidson-Pilon conducted the workshop.

Ross took us through the whole process from printing our image to the final stage of framing.
